Before You Arrive
Horses coming into California have to meet state entry rules, and Triple D confirms exactly what is needed for your horse when we confirm your stay. These are the California state requirements for horses entering the state:
- A Certificate of Veterinary Inspection (health certificate) issued within 30 days before entry
- A negative Coggins (EIA) test from a USDA-approved lab within 12 months before entry
- Official identification of your horse listed on the health certificate
Source: California Department of Food and Agriculture, Animal Health Branch. Rules can change, so check with your veterinarian.
Please also have these ready when you request your stay:
- Your horse's current vaccination records
- Your veterinarian's name and phone number, and an emergency contact
- Any special feeding, medication, or handling needs
- A heads up if your horse has been sick or exposed to illness recently
Vaccination and testing requirements for each stay, and how we handle any health concerns, are confirmed by the ranch. They are not final until we confirm your stay.
Optional Services
Turnout, blanketing, fly masks, grooming, and handling are available for an extra charge. You can pick what you want and see the prices on the quote page.
